Apparently, the cat had been carrying around the arrow for about two weeks when it was discovered by Alysse Parker (Amity ‘07). Alysse spent nearly an entire day trying to catch the cat and take him to the vet.
Fortunately, she was successful. The vet removed the arrow, treated a very nasty infected wound, and the cat is now happy in it’s new home in The Dalles.
This made national news, apparently.
Why anyone would do this to an animal is beyond me, but congrats to Alysse for her efforts.
